Princess de Monaco

Marie-Thérèse was the niece of the duke de Choiseul, who had served as Louis XV's chief minister. She married prince Joseph of Monaco in 1782. After Monaco was annexed by France in 1793 her husband became involved in Counter-Revolutionary activities, and suspicion soon spread to Marie-Thérèse herself. She was imprisoned in Paris and only executed many months later, on 27 July 1794.
