Maubeuge
Occupation: Domestic staff
Maubeuge was a member of the duchess's domestic staff. No supplementary biographical information has been found for him, but it is likely he had been in service with her for a long time (and had achieved a certain status) since he is one of only two servants to be named by the duchess in any of the Letters. An archival trace has survived of his wife: she committed suicide in 1794.
